Keys to the game

QB Cam Newton: Quick releases to avoid the pass rush and laser throws through Denver's secondary will add to his great TD totals.

QB Peyton Manning: The 39-year-old is no longer an elite thrower but still makes crucial passes. His pre-snap audibles may be key.

Luke Kuechly: The Panthers' middle linebacker was 13th in the NFL in tackles, has two pick-6s in the playoffs and guides a stellar D.

Von Miller: The Broncos' outside linebacker ranked 8th in sacks this season and made life miserable for Tom Brady in the AFC title game.

Panthers bottom line: If Carolina's 8 All-Pro players perform at their usual level, it's hard to see coach Ron Rivera's team losing.

Broncos bottom line: Denver's D must keep it close and force 1-2 turnovers by Newton. Manning must conjure up one last magic act.
